How the Photo was Taken

I took this photo using a DSLR Nikon 3200. I did not use a filter. I altered the photo using iPhoto, decreasing the brightness and highlights of the photo, and increasing the contrast and colour saturation. I also changed the composition by cropping the image tighter.
