Where I found my bravery…Malaysia

Theme : A place that inspire you to be brave

. We never know how brave are we until that moment of  aloness.  Where you are completely on your own,  your blood rising high like the top of Himalayas, your heart beat unusually fast  and you can feel the heart  beating in your ear you know that you need to make decision of your own and any outcomes is your own consequences and you need to get through that in the middle of nowhere with no one knows you. The place that inspire me that is Penang Island in Malaysia when im just 18. Well I was raised up by strict family where i never allowed to go out even though with my friend and im also not allowed to go on a date or even going for a prom. So when im registered to a university for my diploma i was so not my self I don’t know how to make friend, I don’t know how to keep conversation going  or even end one without that awkwardness. So end of the first week of my diploma I was planning to go back home but then when I reach at the train I was given a map of the train railway by the staff. I sat down and i ran my finger through the railway in the map and I felt an itch at the Butterworth sign. There where I came out with the darness idea which I ever made in my 18 years of living. To travel alone The train took around 7 hours to reach the destination. In the train I met an Indian guy who aged around 50, He told me about his life, the first time he met his wife about 3 of his childrens. I find I fascinating about others and I like the conversation and it goes on and on, here I realize how people  feels it easier to spill the story of their life  their secret to the people that they knew they will never meet again. When I reached the stop I was so afraid and so clueless I don’t know where to go with a deep breath I found my self so independently asking people for direction and others. On a first day I checked in a  motel where I stayed the for half a day.I  Took a long shower and just lay in my bed packing and charge my phone and everything and a day goes on I went to the jetty the next day and took a ferry and went to Penang Island . While im in the ferry i look around I see a lot of people talking  I started to notice the way people smile the line of their lips how they scrunch their nose when they laugh. So instead watching from far, I put my book back in my bag and heading to the dock to talk to people and start from there where I change im not afraid anymore. Im not afraid talking to people im not afraid to travel alone.Once I  reached the island I took the bus  where it drive me to the Batu Ferringhi (beach), I talked to a couple of bagpackers asking where they from, where are they heading, along the way. The bus left me in front of the hotel that near to the beach. I checked in to my hotel alone unexpectedly I am so excited to go to the beach. The feels of the sand under my feet , the smell of ocean breeze I feel alive. I feel brave . Travel change everything . If I could go back in time I wouldn’t change anything. I like the fact that I find my bravery by travelling . So when in doubt travel, When you sad travel, That is how you will find yourself.
