The Metro Women’s Leadership Summit was a day to celebrate our diversity, teaching us how to unify our message and empower all that attends. The full-day program enlightened attendees on the most current challenges we face as women, highlighting real solutions to put into action steps.

If you take your vacation time, you are more likely to have been promoted within the last year and to have received a raise or bonus in the last three years! (From US Travel Association!)

Taking time off is associated with higher productivity, performance, more positive attitude toward work, increased happiness, improved mental and physical health, better relationships and social life.


What do Americans want to do with their vacation? Nearly all Americans (88%) are in search of a warm climate for their vacations.

Because of the conference, I was able to interview Ilyasah Shabazz, Malcolm X’s daughter, who was the keynote speaker for Ms. Magazine. Here is my article, What Growing Up X Taught Ilyasah Shabazz About Feminism.
