Thailand II (The Islands)

We are ENGAGED!

George asked me to marry him!!!! We went snorkeling in Ko Lipe, Thailand for our 2 year anniversary and while we were swimming, he called me over! SO I went to where he was, expecting to see a great fish and instead I found a RING in the CORAL!!

George said to me the last two years have been amazing…will you spend the rest of your life with me? AND I SAID YES!!!!!!!!!

Thailand II (The Islands)
We have had an amazing month in Thailand. We went to six islands, Ko Lipe, Ko Mook, Ko Tao, Ko Phangan, Ko Chang and Ko Samed. It was wonderful to meet so many great travelers like Beti and Kyle while in the islands. We planned to see Emil in Ko Chang and we were surprised to run into Eric and his family in Ko Mook. Divebuddies just keep turning up!! For those of you on Facebook, you can see all the photos that Daniel and Heidi posted of us just after our engagement. Please use the link above to see ALL our photos on Shutterfly.

Visa Runs
It is a new policy in Thailand that if you travel overland (not by air) you get a 15 day visa and the day you get it counts (so really 14 days). We went for a few hours to Myanmar to get our new Thai visa and we now have VIETNAM VISAS because TODAY we go to Hanoi to meet my parents for THREE WEEKS! WOW! We are going to have hot water, towels, western toilets and television! Dad told us it will be like HEAVEN! SO more news after we go to HEAVENLY HOTELS!!
