1.)Where was the first place that you traveled that made you think WOW—travel is amazing (think history book come to life or …..)

Florida! My first plane ride was when I was around four years old and I remember landing in hot and sunny Florida (from cold Connecticut) and saying WOW!

2.)If you had unlimited resources, where would you go and what would you do?

I would take my family on once a month trips around the world and have my dad living in a suite on a luxurious cruise line without a casino.

3.)What were you afraid to do and how did you find the courage to overcome it?

I was not only afraid to fly but to leave the house at one point. It’s a long story but here’s part of it: http://www.johnnyjet.com/about-johnny/

4.)What apps do you use regularly that make your life easier?

I use a ton of apps: All the airlines, TripIt, Uber, Lyft, ConnectTV, Waze, Belkin, Ring, Mag Light, Google Translate…

5.)What place do you wish more people have seen?

Yellowstone in the USA, Banff in Canada, Sydney in Australia, Angkor Wat in Cambodia…

6.)Best advice you have been given and by whom?

“Always be nice to everyone” by my parents.

Many times but my first trip to Japan I was going back to the Osaka airport and I didn’t know I was supposed to get on in the middle of the train. That’s because the front part that I got on split off halfway through the trip. I guess the first part of the train was public, and the second part was private. Luckily a Japanese lady told me (actually, she escorted me, because she didn’t speak English and I don’t speak Japanese) to move back a couple of cars. If she didn’t help me I would’ve missed my flight to Thailand and really been screwed.

8.)What inspired you to travel for extended periods of time or live in a new country?

Just the fact that I could and wasn’t tied to a 9 to 5 job or kids like all my friends.

9.)I travel because….

It makes me feel alive.
