Red Boat on Water Scotland

Feb 11, 2019

How the Photo was Taken

Taken with a Canon EOS 500D ISO speed 100 F stop f/4 Exposure time 1/500sec

Edits: I don’t know much about photoshop so usually apply a few basic edits if it is needed/ On this one I adjusted the shadow/highlights to bring out the weedy brown colour in the middle of the image. And I tweaked the hue by reducing the cyan colour.

Photo Location

I was staying at the Eilean Iarmain Hotel on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. This Hotel is in Isleornsay and overlooks the Sound of Sleat towards the distant hills of Knoydart, which you see in my image. I was wandering around the hotel grounds one morning before breakfast and loved the morning light on the water. I saw the dilapidated boat and knew it would make for a pop of colour.
