I took this photo with my Nikon D800 using Lightroom to add saturation and contrast.
The reason I chose this photo is because it transports me to a serene beautiful moment in Venice, Italy as I was traveling there with my wife. The perspective of this photo is from inside a gondola right as sunset was happening. Even though I've seen the picture so many times, I still find new things about it, a detail of some sort. For me this photo summarizes the beauty and magic of Italy, it's serene and calm, yet busy and baroque full of details.
