Byron Bay Hang Gliding in Australia

Jun 13, 2018

How the Photo was Taken

A thrillseeking tourist takes a tandem hang gliding flight over one of Australia’s beautiful East coast beaches. This bird’s-eye view is actually taken from land, at the nearby lighthouse headland.
Nikon D600, 70-200mm lens, handheld, basic Lightroom corrections.

Photo Location

The beach shown is in Arakwal national park, Byron Bay, NSW. Taken early August, late Winter is a dry time and the colours of Spring begin to emerge. The rolling waves and untouched landscape convey a sense of fun and freedom that I am really inspired by.
