Exploring Elkhart Lake: Where to STAY and EAT

I love to travel to new places and when i was invited to Wisconsin (State #43) for the first time, I said, “YES!” Please enjoy the videos below of where we stayed and ate at Elkhart Lake, see part two for all of our adventures!

Welcome to Elkhart Lake

I stayed at The Shore Club Wisconsin which is a luxury boutique hotel with a fresh, contemporary style modernized for the new generation of visitors into its once vintage venue. The resort is run by Kristin and Tom Shortt who gave us a tour of the property and joined our group for a lavish four-course breakfast and superb dinner where we sampled nearly everything on the menu at The Cottonwood Social. Watch the videos to see the unbelievable food and drinks! Too bad you cannot taste or smell it–you will just have to go there to try it yourself!

Luxury 4-course Breakfast at The Cottonwood Social

Dinner at The Cottonwood Social at The Shore Club Wisconsin was a special event! We had every appetizer, three types of pasta and five types of pizza with many tasty drinks. This is the closest restaurant to the lake and they have an outdoor Tiki Bar too!

Do you love to try different types of wine? Bring your friends and have a tasting party like we did at Vintage Elkhart Lake! Then we walked to Paddock Club and had dinner with Chef Lynn and her sister at this family owned restaurant! Afterwards, we strolled back to the Osthoff Resort for a blazing bonfire and s’mores by the Lake!

Lynn, the owner of Lake Street Cafe, invited us to sample the new menu for her upcoming Mexican restaurant, Amasa! The food is delicious and they will have a food truck ahead of the actual full restaurant opening next door!

Where do you go when it is Beer O’Clock? SwitchGear Brewing Company! They have flavors for all levels of beer connoisseurs.

Part of our group stayed at Siebkens Resort and we joined them for breakfast at Pams and dinner at the Stop-Inn Tavern. Make sure to find the secret bar and have a drink at the Hard Left Lounge!

If you are looking for a lovely lake retreat, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin has my vote! Please see my other article, What to DO in Elkhart Lake, for our activities at Road America, Village Square and Quit Qui Oc, and, of course, Henning’s Cheese Shop!
