The Stones at Stonehenge

How the Photo was Taken

I took this photo with my DSLR, Nikon 7100. I adjusted exposure and contrast using Photoshop.

Photo Location

On my trip to England in June 2016, seeing Stonehenge was at the top of my "must see" list. I thought I was prepared for how I would feel seeing the stones but it was far more emotional than I thought it would be. They are so magnificent and magical. We arrived late in the afternoon prior to the site closing. The most difficult aspect of capturing the shot was waiting for people to move out of the shot. I knew I could always remove people from the shot in editing, but I wanted the shot to be "pure." I had to wait until they were making a "last call" to capture the shot without people in it. Light was low by then which gave the sky a very mystical look. An experience I will not soon forget.
