I am an english major who tumbled into a migratory sort of life. Over the last ten years, I have lived in a small town in rural Albania, a slanted civil-war era farmhouse in Appalachia, a Pittsburgh rowhouse, a US embassy compound in Moscow, on the beach in Liberia, and the frostbitten edge of Siberia. I spend most of my free time massacring ethnic cuisines in my tiny kitchen and adapting to the brave new world of the blog.
