After traveling all around our planet looking for exciting adventures and new discoveries, I found something special to share from my hometown. In Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to drive the brand new 2018 Kia Stinger GT and photograph it with my equally new LG V30 phone. Both Kia and LG are companies born in South Korea in the 1940s and are turning heads and winning awards with their show stopping technological innovations and top quality products.

The Kia Stinger takes its inspiration from the Grand Tourismo and does not disappoint! The ride is stable, smooth and might surprise some people with its classy good looks and superb handling especially at its incredible price.

This award-winning world-class brand tested the car for over one million miles including on Arctic ice to make sure it will be safe for you and your family. I loved the eight inch touchscreen display for those of us who need clear directions to where we are going and the heads up information on the dashboard.  You can use Android auto app or Apple Carplay easily and enjoy your music on an out-of-this-world sound system from Harman Kardon with 15 high performance speakers, 720 watts amplifier with subwoofers under the seats so as not to steal your trunk space as well as Clair-fi digital music restoration technology and Harman Quantumlogic® surround.

The car was designed to fit two adult couples comfortably and there is plenty of interior space with more rear leg room and cargo room than Audi S5 SB, BMW 440i GC, BMW 640i GC and Porsche Panamera.

I wanted to make sure there was plenty of room for luggage so three of us climbed in the trunk to make certain you could fit all of your shopping, golf clubs or luggage. The entire car has high quality materials and beautifully hand stitched components. I loved the design with the long hood, fastback profile and turbine shaped air vents.

There are 18 driver’s assistance systems including forward and reverse parking distance warnings, rear view camera, forward collision avoidance assistance and blind spot warning with lane change assist. I know I can drive without all these features because when I was 15 years old and learning to drive, cars did not have any of these systems. But I would rather drive with all of the available assistive technology especially when I am transporting precious cargo like my friends and family.

One of my favorite things was that the ultra soft premium Nappa leather driver’s seat can be adjusted in 16-ways with 4-way air-cell lumbar support, 2-way width-adjusting side bolster and seat extension. Do not fear if you are the passenger in this vehicle as there are 12-way power adjustments for the passenger seat with 4-way power lumbar support and it is very comfortable.

If you want advanced technology, safety and comfort in a sports performance vehicle with a sunroof and a wide sportback hatch look no further. If you are ready to go from 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds in a Twin turbocharged V6 for less than half of the cost of a similar featured BMW, Lexus or Porsche, this is your car.
Will you Love Kia Stinger? Lisa in KIA StingerI drove the Stinger GT and the Porsche Panamera on a closed track at Magic Mountain and I picked to drive the Stinger again and again which I felt handled the curves with more style and panache than the Porsche.
Will you Love Kia Stinger? Lisa in KIA StingerWith world class braking, a front engine with rear wheel drive, I felt safe on the curves of the Los Angeles National forest, the freeways of Los Angeles even in traffic and on the track. You can choose between five modes: smart, eco, comfort, sport and custom and make the vehicle feel like your own.
Will you Love Kia Stinger? Lisa in KIA StingerThis premium technology starts at $34,350.00. The fully loaded Stinger GT 2 will be $52,300.00 which considering the Porsche Panamera starts at $85,000.00 and the one I drove was over $100,000.00, it is a perfect holiday deal for you! There is no other mass market vehicle available at this price with all of these amazing features. I agree with Kia that Stinger in a class of one by performance and price!
Do you want a beautifully designed car that is filled with technology and safety and from a top rated brand? As Kia has been saying: #StingerIsHere and a choice of colors are waiting for you.
Thank you to Kia Motors for inviting me to experience the new Stinger GT while staying at The Garland Hotel in North Hollywood. I hope you enjoy my photos with my new #LGV30 and the video driving footage from Kia and my driving partner, Jose Carlos De Mier.
