Insight Vacations Luxury Gold Escorted Italy Tour (Part 2)

We continue our video trip through Italy hosted by Insight Vacations Luxury Gold with Lisa Niver.  See part 1 here.

11.Umbrian Weaving Collective at Giuditta Brozzetti

Marta Cucchi was amazing to watch and was very informative on how Umbrian weaving is done.  We even got to learn how to do it ourselves.  Her grandmother started the business and it has been passed down from generation to generation and now she runs the operation.  It is amazing to see how these types of textiles are produced and manufactured.

12.  Villa Le Maschere in Tuscany

Tuscany is one of the most beautiful provinces in all of Italy.  Our home for the time was at the amazing Villa Le Maschere with lovely rooms and we enjoyed a cocktail party and fantastic dinner!  It was so peaceful to be away from the hustle and bustle of a major city and instead just watch time go bye at this truly luxurious villa.  I loved the decor and wandering around the grounds.

13. Vasari Corridor at Uffizi Gallery

The Uffizi Gallery is one of the most well known art museums in Italy, if not the entire world.  Insight Vacations provided us with a private tour of the beautiful museum.  We were also lucky enough to be accompanied by Mr. John Boulding ,the CEO of Insight Vacations.  Insight Vacations Luxury Gold arranged an exclusive visit to the Vasari Corridor, which is only opened 10 times per day, and only 20 people are allowed in at a time.  Thanks to Insight Vacations, we each had a ticket for this bucket list experience. This was truly a day to remember on our trip.

14.  Florence with Emma and Lisa

Florence is known around the world for its history as well as its shopping!  The shopping was astounding, as there was everything and anything on sale there.  We even saw horse drawn carriages for those looking for a romantic way to see the city.

15.  Discovering the Opera Museum in Florence

Insight Vacation gave us special VIP experiences, as well as time to explore at our own pace.  During our afternoon in Florence, I visited the Opera Museum of the Duomo with Emma after our shopping spree at COS.  I saw Michelangelo’s La Pieta, as well as many other magnificent pieces of history.  I loved learning  about the mosaics.

16.  Visiting Florence and seeing Michelangelo’s masterpiece, David at Accademia Gallery.

It can be argued that Michelangelo’s masterpiece, “David” is the most famous sculpture in the world.  The sculpture is 5 meters high and is incredibly detailed.  To imagine the amount of work that went into the sculpture is mind-boggling.  Come to Europe and experience a luxury tour by Insight Vacations.  I love art, ceramics and sculpture. Being here again to see this masterpiece in real life is remarkable.

17. The Tuscan dinner at RivaSud

After a perfect day of tours, we spend the night dining at RivaSud.  We had fresh focaccia still hot from a wood burning oven, as well as other Italian delights!  Thank you Insight Vacations for another incredible day in Italy! I loved every day of this tour!

18.  Our wine tasting in Tuscany

Wine tasting should be on the agenda of anyone wanting to visit Italy.  Ask any sommelier where the best wine in the world comes from, and Italy will be sure to have many votes.  Luxury Gold tours by Insight Vacations gave us a truly unique wine tasting with local wines from around Tuscany. I loved that we just walked across the street from Villa Le Maschere and had a local lunch with wonderful wine and fantastic friends. The start to another great day!

19.  Tuscan cooking class

Where in the world would you to learn to cook Italian food?  The best answer is none other than in the heart of Italy!  For our cooking class, John Boulding, the CEO of Insight Vacations gave us the opportunity to participate in a master class of Italian cooking.  First, we met our Tuscan cooking team, toured the wine cellar and learned everything we could imagine about cooking with Italian ingredients.  Then, we got to create our own masterpieces.  We made chocolate dessert, fresh pasta, and chopped vegetables to make our own pasta sauce with ingredients fresh from the garden. Our dinner was DELICIOUS!

20.  Our trip to Verona

We traveled from Tuscany to Verona in our luxury motor coach and explored the city.  Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet had much history.  Some stones on the streets even had fossils in them!  We experienced the best coffee in Verona and enjoyed our tour of the historic city. I loved finding lunch in the market with Anthony. This trip has been terrific. I highly recommend Insight Vacations Luxury Gold!

Stay tuned for Part 3 of our tour of Italy with Luxury Gold Tours by Insight Tours!
