Watching the rain from Rambuttri Village Inn lobby seemed like being on a movie set. I had never seen it rain so hard for so long. People were walking into the lobby soaking wet. It almost seemed like the movie, The Truman Show, where someone stood over you with a bucket of water and poured it directly on your head continuously. One night, we ate next door at the Indian restaurant to stay out of the rain and realized that everyone working at the Indian place was also Burmese. We met so many Burmese working in Koh Tao but are realizing that many of the people working with tourists in Thailand are from Myanmar where we are going next.
We traveled by boat to get to the Myanmar embassy and also got caught in the rain. I saw a group of monks waiting in the rain.

Torrential rain, it looks like the Indian monsoons. I suppose its warm there so its OK to walk in the rain. We do that in India as well. Great video. Shalu Sharma recently posted..Funny Indian pictures
